Waterbom Bali: ticket prices, slide height limits, lockers and food

What a day at Bali's water park really costs once the lockers, towels and lunch are added, which slides your child is tall enough for, and the weeks when it sells out.

Waterbom Bali is the water park in Tuban, the southern end of Kuta, ten minutes from the airport. An adult ticket costs Rp 630,000 (US$35 · C$50) on the park's own site in October 2026, a child Rp 495,000, and the slides are what you are paying for: the big ones need 122 cm, so check your child against the table below before you promise anything.

Below are the official 2026 prices with the extras nobody mentions until the gate, the height and weight limit of every slide, what lockers and gazebos cost, and the Australian school holiday weeks when tickets run out.

Is the Waterbom Bali family pass worth it?

Barely. Two adults and two children bought separately come to Rp 2,250,000, so the family pass saves you Rp 50,000, about US$3. Take it for the convenience of one booking, not for the discount. It also only works if both children are 11 or under: a 12 year old counts as an adult, and a family with teenagers pays four adult tickets or looks at the Four Pack.

All-In, Duo and Four Pack: which bundle saves money

The adult All-In Pass at Rp 885,000 is a ticket, a towel and a regular locker (Rp 715,000 if bought separately) plus Rp 200,000 of credit for food and drinks. If you would have eaten lunch inside anyway, which everyone does because outside food is banned, it costs you about the same as paying item by item, with less queueing. The family All-In at Rp 2,875,000 works the same way: Rp 2,395,000 of ticket, towels and family locker, plus Rp 500,000 of credit and two ice creams.

The Four Pack (Rp 2,800,000) only makes sense for four people who would all pay the adult price, such as parents with two teenagers: four adult tickets, four towels and two lockers would cost Rp 2,750,000. For two adults and two young children, the plain family pass is cheaper by Rp 600,000. The Duo Pass (Rp 1,600,000) is a couple's day out with a foot massage each, about Rp 225,000 more than two tickets, two towels and a locker.

Waterbom Bali tickets at the gate vs online

You can still buy at the counter, but the park does not publish its gate price, and its official booking page was advertising 10% off for online purchase when we checked. Resellers price close to the official rate: one Bali agency listed an adult pass at Rp 710,000 in October 2026, other platforms a little under. The real argument for buying ahead is not the saving, it is that passes sell out in school holidays and the park then stops selling at the gate.

Indonesian residents with a KTP, KITAS or KITAP pay a lower local rate, and the ID is checked at the entrance. Tickets are non refundable. A date change goes through info@waterbom-bali.com or +62 361 755 676. For the rest of the trip, our Bali trip cost guide puts the day in the context of a 7 to 14 day budget.

Waterbom Bali slides and height requirements

Every slide has its own minimum height, and staff measure children at the top of the tower. The figures below come from the park's page for each slide. The quick version: 80 cm opens the kids' slides, 100 cm the first proper ones, 122 cm all of them.

There are no lifts at Waterbom: every big slide starts at the top of a staircase.

Which Waterbom slides can a 100 cm child ride?

At 100 cm a child gets Python, the family raft that takes up to four, Pipeline and the open tubes of Green Vipers, on top of the kids' areas and the lazy river. That is a good day for a five or six year old. Between 110 and 120 cm, Twin Racers, the closed Green Vipers tubes, Climax and Fast n Fierce open up. The big double rides that families do together, Tailspin, Boomerang and The Drop, all wait for 122 cm. So does Constrictor, the long tube ride.

Waterbom Bali for toddlers: Zuluu Hill, AquaPlay and the lazy river

Under 80 cm, there is AquaPlay, a 15 metre play tower with six small slides and water jets, the shallow pools and the 250 metre lazy river, all with no minimum height. Zuluu Hill, the newer kids' area on two levels, and the Mini Boomerang start at 80 cm. Children under 6 must have an adult with them constantly in AquaPlay, and under 11 an adult in the park. The Savannah Café sits right by the kids' area, so one parent can eat while the other watches.

The lazy river and the kids' areas have no minimum height, which is what fills the day for under 5s.

Waterbom Bali rules: weight limits and swimwear

Adults riding alone can go up to 136 kg on most slides and 140 kg on the newer ones, and staff may weigh riders at the top. The rule that catches people out is clothing: no denim, no cotton, no sportswear, nothing with zips, rivets or metal, no jewellery and no glasses on the slides (Smashdown allows glasses on a strap). A cotton t-shirt over a swimsuit will get a child sent back down the stairs, so pack a rash vest. Cameras with a lens longer than 3.5 inches are not allowed.

Waterbom Bali lockers, towels and gazebos

None of these are in a basic ticket. Lockers and towels each carry a deposit that comes back on your wristband when you leave. A family of four that rents a family locker and four towels adds Rp 195,000 (about US$11) to the day.

There are three locker areas, and the main one has hot and cold showers and free changing rooms. There are more showers by the kids' area and in the gardens. Lockers open with the Splash Band, so you never carry a key. Bring your own towel if you prefer: nothing stops you.

Are Waterbom Bali gazebos worth it?

There are 63 gazebos, and in school holidays the shaded loungers around the pools are gone by 10:00. For a family with small children that wants a fixed base, nap shade and somewhere to leave the bags in sight, a Regular gazebo at Rp 550,000 for up to six people is the one that pays for itself. The Premium ones beside AquaPlay put you next to the kids' tower. Gazebos are booked online with a ticket, are non refundable and can be moved up to 48 hours ahead.

Waterbom Bali food and drinks: restaurants and outside food rules

Outside food is not allowed, and each guest can bring in one bottle of mineral water. Bags are checked at the entrance, and anything refused can be left at Guest Relations in the lobby. That means you will eat inside, so budget for it: there are four restaurants, three bars and snack kiosks.

  • Wantilan Food Court: the main lunch spot, with Indonesian, Italian, Mexican and Japanese counters. It is halal and pork free.
  • Savannah Café: in the kids' area, the easy choice with small children.
  • Oasis Café and Sliders Bar & Grill, which looks over the FlowRider.
  • Pleasure Pool Bar and Lagoon Bar, both swim-up, plus kiosks for ice cream, popcorn and cookies.

Vegetarian and vegan dishes are marked on the menus. Eat before 12:00 or after 14:00, when the food court is not feeding the whole park at once.

How the Waterbom Splash Band cashless payment works

Cash is not used inside the park. You load credit onto the wristband at the entrance, in steps from Rp 300,000 to Rp 5,000,000, and pay for food, drinks and lockers with it. The unspent balance is refunded when you leave, so load more than you think rather than queueing to top up. Cards, bank transfer and QRIS are accepted at the counter.

When to go to Waterbom Bali: weekdays, weekends and Australian school holidays

Waterbom opens every day from 09:00 to 18:00. It closes on Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, which falls in early March 2027, and it can stop selling tickets once it is full or pause the slides during a thunderstorm. The crowd depends far more on whose school is out than on the day of the week.

Waterbom Bali on weekdays vs weekends

Outside the holidays the difference is modest, and the park itself says weekends from February to April and in October and November are quiet. Weekends bring more local families, so a Tuesday to Thursday is the safe bet if you have the choice. The hour matters more: the first two hours after opening and the last two before closing have the shortest queues at the towers.

Australian school holidays 2026 to 2027: the weeks Waterbom fills up

Waterbom fills within days of each Australian state breaking up. When we checked on 16 October 2026, at the tail of the spring holidays, the park's booking page showed passes as fully booked. The summer break is the busiest stretch of the year:

State or territorySummer 2026 to 2027Autumn (Easter) 2027

Victoria19 Dec to 26 Jan26 Mar to 11 Apr

South Australia12 Dec to 26 JanCheck with the department
ACT19 Dec to 1 FebCheck with the directorate
Northern Territory11 Dec to 26 JanCheck with the department
Tasmania19 Dec to 3 FebCheck with the department

The worst weeks are the overlap: mid December to the end of January, when every state is off at once and Indonesian schools break too. In those weeks, book online the day before as the park recommends, arrive at 09:00, and treat the gazebo as a necessity rather than a luxury. Dates are from the national tourism calendar and the NSW and Victorian school calendars. Confirm with your own state before booking flights.

Indonesian holidays that crowd Waterbom

Lebaran (Eid al-Fitr, around 10 March 2027, depending on the moon sighting) brings domestic tourists from Java, and the Balinese holidays of Galungan and Kuningan (13 and 23 January 2027) put local families on the road. Nyepi itself shuts the park and the airport for 24 hours. If your trip overlaps one of these dates, move Waterbom to a different day.

Is Waterbom Bali worth it, and is it safe?

For a family with children over about 110 cm, yes, without hesitation. It is the one day in Bali that asks nothing of the parents: no long transfer, no temple staircase in the heat, no shorebreak to watch from the sand. The park is clean and shaded by old gardens, with lifeguards at the pools and height checks at every tower. On Kuta Beach, by contrast, children are only safe between the flags, which the Kuta guide explains.

It is less worth it with toddlers, who are limited to the kids' areas, and for couples without children, for whom Rp 1,260,000 buys a lot elsewhere. The one real safety point is the height bars: do not argue with staff over a centimetre. There are no lifts, the big slides are four or five storeys of stairs, and they are not accessible in a wheelchair, though the paths, pools and lazy river are.

How many hours to spend at Waterbom Bali

A full day, five to seven hours for most families. A plan that works: arrive at 09:00, do the 122 cm slides first while the queues are short, eat at 11:30, spend the hot early afternoon in the lazy river, the kids' area or the gazebo, and finish with a second round on the favourites after 16:00. On a day of heavy rain in the wet season the slides can close during storms, and our Bali weather guide shows which months that is a real risk.

Getting to Waterbom Bali from Kuta, Seminyak and Nusa Dua

The park is on Jalan Kartika Plaza in Tuban, opposite the Discovery Shopping Mall and a short walk from the southern end of Kuta Beach. From most Kuta and Tuban hotels you walk.

  • From the airport or Kuta: about ten minutes by Grab or Gojek outside the late afternoon rush.
  • From Legian and Seminyak: about fifteen minutes in light traffic, more like half an hour between 16:00 and 19:00. See the Seminyak guide for the base itself.
  • From Nusa Dua: 25 to 45 minutes depending on the airport roundabout. Some ticket listings include a hotel transfer from Nusa Dua, which saves the hunt for a Grab back.
  • From Ubud, Canggu or Sanur: hire a driver for the day, as a Grab back at 18:00 is hard to find. Our private driver guide gives the 2026 daily rates.

The park has a private car park, but spaces are not guaranteed and scooter parking fills on weekends. The biggest queue of the day is the pickup line at 18:00: book your ride back before you go in, or leave at 17:00.

Waterbom Bali: common questions

How much is a Waterbom entry?
On the park's own booking page in October 2026, a Single Day Pass costs Rp 630,000 for an adult (US$35 · C$50), Rp 495,000 for a child aged 2 to 11 (US$28 · C$39) and Rp 2,200,000 for a family of two adults and two children (US$123 · C$175). Children under 2 go in free and anyone from 12 pays the adult price. The ticket covers every slide and the lazy river. Lockers, towels, food, the FlowRider and gazebos cost extra.
Is Waterbom Bali worth going?
For a family with children tall enough for most of the slides, yes. It is the one full day in Bali that asks nothing of the parents: no transfer, no heat on a temple staircase, no surf to watch. It is clean, well run and the slides are properly built. It is less worth it with toddlers under about 100 cm, who are limited to the kids' zones, or for couples who would rather spend Rp 1,260,000 on a day elsewhere.
How many hours to spend in Waterbom Bali?
A full day. The park is open 09:00 to 18:00 and most families stay five to seven hours. Arrive for opening, do the big slides before 11:00 while the queues are short, eat early, and keep the lazy river and the kids' areas for the hot middle of the afternoon. Half a day works only if your children are small and will run out of energy by lunch.
Is Waterbom in Bali safe?
Yes, by the standards of any water park. Every slide has a posted minimum height and a weight limit, staff check them at the top, lifeguards watch the pools, and the park bans clothing with zips, rivets or denim that can catch. Children under 11 must be with an adult, and children under 6 must be supervised constantly in AquaPlay. Most injuries in water parks come from children climbing onto slides they are too small for, so respect the height bars.
Is Waterbom Bali closed?
It opens every day from 09:00 to 18:00 with one exception: Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, when the whole island shuts and nobody may leave their hotel. In 2027 Nyepi falls in early March. The park can also stop selling tickets once it reaches capacity, which happens in Australian and Indonesian school holidays, and it can pause the slides during a thunderstorm.
Can you bring food into Waterbom Bali?
No. Outside food is not allowed, and each guest may bring in one bottle of mineral water. Anything that is refused at the gate can be left at Guest Relations in the lobby. Inside there are four restaurants, three bars and snack kiosks, with vegetarian and vegan options and a halal, pork-free food court.
Do I need to book Waterbom Bali tickets in advance?
In school holidays, yes. The park's own advice is to book online at least the day before in high season, and passes do sell out: the booking page showed them as fully booked when we checked at the end of the Australian spring holidays in October 2026. Outside the holidays you can buy at the counter, but booking online still gets you the online discount the park advertises.
What is the minimum height at Waterbom Bali?
It depends on the slide. The kids' slides at Zuluu Hill and the Mini Boomerang start at 80 cm. Python, Pipeline and the open tubes of Green Vipers need 100 cm. Twin Racers and the closed Green Vipers tubes need 110 cm. Climax and Fast n Fierce need 120 cm, and the big ones, Smashdown, Constrictor, Double Twist, Tailspin, Boomerang and The Drop, need 122 cm. A child of 122 cm can ride everything.
Is Waterbom Bali the biggest water park in Asia?
No, and the park does not claim to be. It fits on one block of Jalan Kartika Plaza, and much larger parks exist in China and Japan. Its reputation comes from the slides and from how it is run, not from its size.
